Have you ever bothered to look up the deductible on your handset protection plan?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Spoiler Alert:<\/strong> it&#8217;s WAY more expensive than you thought it was. I have an old refurbished S4 that I purchased from T-Mobile 2 years ago for $480.<\/p>\n<p>I have been paying $10 per month for the <strong>Premium Handset Protection. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s $240 after two years.<\/p>\n<p>Hmm&#8230; have the price of a new phone in two years.<\/p>\n<p>And now I find my deductible is $175! &#8211; (https:\/\/myphpinfo.com\/t-mobile\/general\/view-all-deductibles.aspx)<\/p>\n<p>$240 + $175 = $415<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s $65 less than having to buy a new phone.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Clearly I may have been thankful if this broke day one, possibly even after the first year.
