{"id":1378,"date":"2016-11-21T21:23:14","date_gmt":"2016-11-22T02:23:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.briandeyo.us\/brd\/wp\/?p=1378"},"modified":"2021-09-25T12:43:07","modified_gmt":"2021-09-25T16:43:07","slug":"fixed-forwarding-all-video-calls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.briandeyo.us\/index.php\/2016\/11\/21\/fixed-forwarding-all-video-calls\/","title":{"rendered":"FIXED: Forwarding All Video Calls"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have had this annoying notification on one of my T-Mobile S7s for the last 3 months, but I haven&#8217;t really looked into figuring this out until this weekend.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1383 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.briandeyo.us\/brd\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/T-Mobile-Forwarding-all-Video-Calls-Notification.png\" alt=\"t-mobile-forwarding-all-video-calls-notification\" width=\"523\" height=\"100\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.briandeyo.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/T-Mobile-Forwarding-all-Video-Calls-Notification.png 1440w, https:\/\/www.briandeyo.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/T-Mobile-Forwarding-all-Video-Calls-Notification-420x80.png 420w, https:\/\/www.briandeyo.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/T-Mobile-Forwarding-all-Video-Calls-Notification-744x142.png 744w, https:\/\/www.briandeyo.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/T-Mobile-Forwarding-all-Video-Calls-Notification-768x147.png 768w, https:\/\/www.briandeyo.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/T-Mobile-Forwarding-all-Video-Calls-Notification-1200x229.png 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 523px) 100vw, 523px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Attempted all of the following with no success:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basics, rebooting, reseating SIM, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Disabling Voice over LTE<\/li>\n<li>Carrier shortcodes for disabling all forwarding, requested ISP tech support to remove all forwarding from their side<\/li>\n<li>Requested over-the-air SIM refresh from ISP (and rolling my eyes when the tech suggested I factory reset the phone before troubleshooting would continue)<\/li>\n<li>Setting SIM in an iOS device and re-running all shortcodes. (Sometimes I really do use iOS)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Upon putting my SIM into another known-good Samsung, and receiving the same annoying notification, it was clear it had nothing to do with my phone.<\/p>\n<p>Took it into the ISP this AM and asked for a SIM swap. Notification now gone.<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s most interesting about all of this, is it happened after I went on a work trip to a foreign country that is commonly associated with <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Advanced_persistent_threat\">APTs<\/a>.
