Wow! Have you ever bothered to look up the deductible on your handset protection plan?
Spoiler Alert: it’s WAY more expensive than you thought it was. I have an old refurbished S4 that I purchased from T-Mobile 2 years ago for $480.
I have been paying $10 per month for the Premium Handset Protection.
That’s $240 after two years.
Hmm… have the price of a new phone in two years.

$240 + $175 = $415
That’s $65 less than having to buy a new phone.
Clearly I may have been thankful if this broke day one, possibly even after the first year. But now that I have a phone that is two years old and needs an upgrade, I can’t help but notice how much I just spent for nothing.
